Frank Steitiya stuurde vanuit Duitsland  zijn gloednieuwe carbon GIOS Cross Country in voor de rubriek ‘Jouw Fiets‘ op dit blog.

“This year I finally managed to visit Aldo & Marco Gios at Volpiano near Torino during my summer holidays in July. Both are very nice people and I hope that they will survive in the long run with their very special local sales and business strategy. I could not resist and bought a brand new Gios Carbon CycloCross frame there, which I build up meanwhile as you can see in the pictures.

Compared to my good old steel Gios cyclocross bike from the early eighties, the new one weights about 2 kgs less. I invested also a bit of money in the restauration of the old steel CX frame meanwhile. I hope that this new carbon material will survive also after some crashes in the local forests in Winter time, let us see….

This year I also have taken part at the maratona dles dolomites, according to picture 3+4. A great experience with 4.200 HM on circa 140 km. I was probably the only one with a steel frame (compact pro) there and in Gios blue outfit.”
